Every believer wants to hear from God — but most of us aren't sure we actually do. We wonder whether the quiet inner nudge is divine guidance or just our own thinking, and so we ignore it, go our own way, and often end up right back where we started.
In this powerful short teaching, Phil Pringle brings honest, practical clarity to one of the most personal questions in the Christian life: what does God's voice actually sound like, and how do you know when He's speaking to you?
Drawing on decades of walking with the Holy Spirit, Phil shares how God communicates through peace rather than confusion, through a quiet inner knowing that grows clearer the more you learn to trust it. He recounts a remarkable miracle where a nine-year-old girl, declared brain dead by her doctors, walked out of hospital within three days — the turning point a direct word of the Lord spoken in faith. He reflects on Isaiah's promise that you will hear a voice behind you saying this is the way, and on Paul's reminder in 2 Timothy that God has given us not a spirit of fear, but power, love, and a sound mind. The bottom line, Phil says, is this: God is not a poor communicator. It's more often that we're not great at hearing. Slow down, seek Him, trust what you sense, and seek wise confirmation. His voice will become clearer. You can stake your life on it.

People often ask me, “What exactly do you do in your prayer time?”
For nearly 40 years, I’ve started my day by setting aside an hour to draw near to God. Usually early in the morning, before the noise of the day begins, I take that time to focus completely on Him. I don’t follow a rigid formula, but I do follow a pattern that has helped me stay consistent and connected.
I base my prayer time on the Lord’s Prayer and the pattern of the Old Testament Tabernacle. I begin with thanksgiving. Then I move into praise and worship. I take time to cleanse my heart before God, confessing anything that needs to be put right. I speak Scripture out loud. I pray in the Spirit. I intercede for people. I declare God’s promises over situations in my life and in the lives of others.
It’s not complicated. And it’s not mechanical.
It’s fellowship.

If your passion for the Bible has grown cold, this episode will reignite it.
In this message, we unpack the life-changing power of God’s Word and why it is far more than history, poetry, or a list of rules. Scripture is life to your spirit, health to your soul, clarity in confusion, and strength in temptation. Just as Jesus defeated the enemy by speaking the Word, we are reminded that when we plant Scripture in our hearts and speak it out, it builds our faith and equips us for spiritual battle. The Word renews the mind, brings wisdom, restores joy, and gives clear direction in a world that constantly redefines truth.
We also explore five practical ways to receive the Word: hearing, reading, studying, memorising, and meditating. Meditation is where Scripture truly takes root, where it moves from information to transformation. The Bible warns us, guides us, cleanses us, and rewards those who live by it. This episode is a heartfelt invitation to fall in love with the Word again and allow the Holy Spirit to awaken fresh hunger, fresh revelation, and fresh power in your everyday walk with God.

How can you know God’s will for your life without second-guessing every step you take? In this empowering message, Ps Phil Pringle teaches that God’s will is not a hidden mystery waiting to be discovered, but a relationship that invites surrender and trust. Instead of waiting for a dramatic sign or an audible voice, we are called to walk forward in faith, knowing that God guides those who are already willing to say “yes.”
Drawing from decades of pastoral wisdom and key scriptures like Psalm 32, Isaiah 30, and James 3, this message unpacks how God leads us through peace, wisdom, counsel, and His Word. You’ll be encouraged to make decisions with a sound mind, trust God to redirect when needed, and embrace the freedom of walking with Him day by day.
If you have ever struggled with indecision, fear of making the wrong choice, or over-spiritualising every step, this teaching will bring clarity and peace. God’s will is good, pleasing, and perfectly fitted for you. As you commit your ways to Him, He promises to direct your steps and take joy in your journey.

This insightful devotional explores one of the most common and deeply personal questions believers ask: How do I know the will of God? Drawing from decades of pastoral experience, the message anchors us in Romans 12:2, revealing that God’s will is not mysterious or frightening, but good, acceptable, and perfect. Rather than being dark or restrictive, God’s will carries a deep sense of inner rightness—a harmony where timing, people, purpose, and peace come together, even when circumstances are challenging.
A key emphasis is the role of peace as God’s internal guide. From Colossians 3:15, we’re reminded that the peace of God is meant to rule in our hearts—acting as the final decision-maker. Confusion, chaos, and inner turmoil are not signs of divine leading; peace is. Even when something seems spiritually noble, moving ahead without peace can be presumption rather than obedience.
The message also gently reframes our understanding of timing. God may give us a vision long before He fulfils it, using seasons of waiting and trial to transform us into the person capable of carrying that calling. Biblical examples like Peter, Jacob, and Paul reveal a consistent pattern: promises are given early, but character is formed over time. Paul’s journey to Rome—fulfilled through shipwreck, imprisonment, and unexpected hardship—shows that God’s will can look very different from our expectations, yet still be perfectly aligned with His purpose.
Ultimately, this devotional calls us to value God’s presence above comfort or convenience. When His presence is with us, even difficult circumstances can be the perfect will of God. True assurance doesn’t come from ideal conditions, but from knowing we are exactly where God wants us to be, walking in peace, trust, and surrender.

This powerful message takes us deep into Luke 22:31, where we witness one of the most mystifying exchanges in Scripture: Satan actually asking God for permission to test Peter. What unfolds is a masterclass in understanding divine purpose within our trials.
The imagery of wheat being sifted becomes central—when wheat is thrown into the air, the wind blows away the chaff while the true seed falls back to the ground. Whatever can be blown away in our lives during trials will be removed, leaving only what is genuine and valuable. Peter's greatest weakness, his fear of man's opinion, became the very area Satan targeted. Yet Jesus didn't pray that Peter would avoid the trial; He prayed that Peter's faith would not fail. This distinction is crucial for us to understand: God often allows us to go through difficulties not to destroy us, but to strengthen us. Peter's journey from denying Christ three times to boldly preaching at Pentecost and converting 3,000 souls shows us that our moments of failure are not the end of our story. They are often the beginning of our transformation. The same weakness that caused Peter to crumble became his greatest strength after the Holy Spirit filled him. We discover that Jesus is never disillusioned with us because He never had illusions about us in the first place. He sees our failures as opportunities for transformation, and our trials as pathways to becoming who He envisioned us to be.

This meditation on Psalm 23 invites us into a profound exploration of peace in the midst of anxiety. We're reminded that contentment begins with recognising the Lord as our shepherd—not just our Saviour, but our Lord who sits at the centre of our lives. The psalm reveals a beautiful progression: from declaring we shall not want, to being made to lie down in green pastures, to walking beside still waters where our souls find restoration. What's particularly striking is the emphasis on presence over circumstance. When we walk through valleys shadowed by death, we're called to keep walking, not to set up camp in our suffering. The secret isn't the absence of enemies but the presence of a table prepared before us, abundant and overflowing. This isn't just ancient poetry—it's a practical roadmap for reducing anxiety by shifting our focus from what we lack to who we have. The imagery of oil anointing our heads and cups running over speaks to God's nature as a God of abundance, not scarcity. When we truly grasp that goodness and mercy are chasing us down rather than past mistakes haunting us, we step into a dimension of peace that transforms our emotional and spiritual landscape.

This sermon addresses the epidemic of anxiety and worry in modern life by examining Jesus' calming of the storm in Mark 4. The central message is that Jesus desires believers to wake up to their own authority and faith rather than living in constant anxiety. Through the story of Jesus sleeping during the storm while His disciples panicked, I illustrate that Christ wants us to exercise the same authority He demonstrated—speaking to our circumstances and rebuking the chaos that enters our lives. The sermon emphasises that anxiety comes uninvited but can be combated through understanding our spiritual authority in Christ. Rather than waking Jesus with worried prayers, believers are called to wake up their own faith and actively rebuke the demonic forces behind confusion and distress. The message concludes with the powerful truth that God's peace, which surpasses understanding, will guard our hearts and minds when we exercise our authority in Christ.

This sermon addresses the practical challenge of casting our cares upon God and finding genuine relief from anxiety. I emphasises that simply praying a quick prayer to release our worries is insufficient; instead, we must intentionally spend time waiting in God's presence. Through this deliberate practice of waiting, an exchange occurs—we receive God's strength while He takes our burdens. The message highlights the importance of daily, distraction-free time with God, the spiritual practice of speaking in tongues as a means of rest and refreshing, and the transformative power of being mindful of God's presence throughout our daily lives. The sermon concludes with an encouragement to prioritise time with the Lord as essential for experiencing the peace and restoration He promises.

Mental health struggles are real – and if you’ve been searching for how to manage anxiety, deal with stress, or just find peace, you’re not alone. But science can’t solve what is spiritual at its core.
This message tackles one of our most pressing struggles: anxiety. Drawing from Philippians 4, we discover that managing anxiety isn't about wishing our circumstances would change, but about making intentional changes in what we allow into our minds and spirits. The apostle Paul's instruction to 'think on these things' - things that are lovely, pure, and of good report - isn't just wishful thinking; it's a practical command we can actually obey.
The key insight here is revolutionary: we become what we feed on. Just as a starved lion loses to a well-fed dog, our anxiety loses power when we stop feeding it through negative media, toxic conversations, and endless streams of fear-inducing content. Instead, when we nourish ourselves with God's Word through meditation - not casual reading, but deep, repetitive chewing like a cow chews its cud - that Word becomes engrafted into our souls. The beautiful imagery from Psalm 1 shows us that meditating on Scripture day and night makes us like trees planted by rivers of water, naturally bearing fruit without struggle. This isn't about striving; it's about positioning ourselves where the life-giving water of God's Word can be absorbed into our very being, transforming us from glory to glory.
